Preschool and Dance Teacher
Olga I was born on Zapatera Island in the Isletas of Lake Granada. At the age of 15 she moved to Granada to study in Ruben Dario school. She graduated from INDO, and then studied in Jinotepe to receive her degree in Primary Education.
Olga has been a Nicaraguan public school preschool and first grade teacher since 2005. She continues to teach mornings in public school while working at Casa de los Sueños since 2014. Olga teaches two preschool classes and runs a dance club for our students in the afternoons.
Olga states:
I am very happy to work for the youth of my country and city. I like to work with children because they are simple, sincere, and have pure hearts; I learn from them. Since I was a child of 12 years old, I wanted to become a teacher; I always saw myself being surrounded by children. As a young girl, I taught catechism class; I liked to read books about history and sacred texts. I wanted to enter into a convent but I later realized that that wasn’t my calling, that my calling was to teach.
We are proud to have Olga as part of our team. Her energy and passion for teaching small children comes through in every class she teaches.
